Xochicalco Ruins in Cuernavaca                 I am from Baja, Mexico.  I am the oldest of three siblings.  I enjoy to travel, especially within Mexico.  I moved to the San Diego in 1998, when I was 10 years old.  I attended the Kindergarten located in our small town of Valle de las Palmas, Tecate, cannot recall the name of it.  I attended Juan Dominguez Freire, located in the same town, from first to third grade.  After that, I moved to Ensenada, Baja.  I attended Alberto Correa for my fourth elementary school year.  And finally, I moved to San Diego and attended Mason Elementary for the fifth grade.   For middle school, I attended Wangenheim Middle School from sixth to eighth grade. From ninth to twelfth grade I attended Mira Mesa High and graduated in 2006.  Right after graduation, I began to take college courses at Miramar, Mesa, and City community colleges.  After attending the San Diego Community College District for five years I finally transferred to California State University

Facial expressions, symbols, and writing are some examples of AAC. A no tech communication tool is the choice board .   Choice boards can be made of objects, pictures, and symbols that are used by the students with special needs.   It can be used in the classroom by having related topic symbols or objects on the choice board so that the student is able to answer questions, or complete sentences about the topic, by using pointer stick, body part, eye gaze, or any other gesture.   NETS-T 5 a. participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning. T he acronym PLN stands for Personal Learning Network, which consists of interaction of many people interconnected by a common interest creating a network that contributes to their professional development and knowledge without ever meeting them personally, but virtually.  I have created a PLN of education and educators using Twitter, I Google, Blogger, Diigo, and Classroom 2.0.  Having built a PLN will aid when becoming a teacher by allowing me to communicate, share, and acquire ideas to keep my classroom and teaching up to date, while  maintaining my students’ attention and making learning fun and attractive.
